A Sunday Song from Sharon
Hey Sunday Song Fam and Friends,
Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve featured a selection sung by a BIG choir, so I figured we’re about due. I picked today’s Sunday Song, More Abundantly, because it reminds me that God comes to give me life so that I may enjoy it to the fullest, right now, TODAY. The lyrics say:
I come that you might have life more abundantly
I come that you might have life through eternity
I did not come to condemn the world
Or shame you for your wrongs
I have come to heal the brokenhearted
And to give your heart a song
What?!? You mean, I don’t have to wait until I die to enjoy my life? That’s right! You see, we sometimes get trapped into thinking that we are meant to wait until we die, or even that we have to have our act all together, before we can experience salvation. But salvation can be experienced more fully when we understand that Jesus already died to set us FREE so that we might enjoy the life that He has given us today, right NOW–this brand new, beautiful day.
I know that can be tough sometimes. But remember, no matter what you may be facing, it is only temporary. Our God can deliver you because he is BIGGER than every problem–large or small, real or imagined–this we know.
Be encouraged and enjoy your day!
