A Sunday Song from Sharon (Tomorrow)

Hey there Sunday Song Fam and Friends,

How are you this snowy day? Wonderful, I pray!

Well, I must say that all week long I had a certain song in mind to pick for the Sunday Song. I knew exactly what it would be although I didn’t know my message yet.

But today I awoke with a completely different song in my spirit. In fact, it was playing in my dream. Yes, playing softly and sweetly as my eyes slowly opened. I don’t exactly remember the dream, but I believe that in it, my children were still small.

Maybe the dream about my kids being small has something to do with me being a little nostalgic this weekend. After all, I was just reminiscing through some old pictures and found one from when my girls were little and taking dance lessons. So cute! And my daughter said “Aww, talk about a throwback!” Yes, it was a throwback. And then with this weather we’ve been having, I’ve been having some throwback memories of playing in the snow as a kid. Memories!

Well anyway, today’s Sunday Song (the song that I heard in my dream) could be said to be a real throwback type of song. In fact, it makes me nostalgic, too, because I think it’s one of the songs that I taught to the church choir way back in the day. It’s called “Tomorrow” by the Winans, and it’s a song that brings a powerful message of urgency, a message that basically says that you’d better choose the Lord NOT tomorrow but today. I think that is truly a message for out times and one that needs to be heard around the world.

So please sit back, listen, and enjoy this gospel throwback jam with me. And as you listen, may you be reminded that “tomorrow” is good, but “tomorrow is not promised” as they say. Let’s share the good news and the goodness of the Lord today!

May you be abundantly blessed!

TODAY’S SUNDAY SONG, Tomorrow, The Winans

KEY VERSES
James 4:13-14
“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”
