Today is Veterans Day, a day on which we honor and celebrate our veterans. We take this day to show them how grateful we are to them for their service to the country. They fight for our protection and freedom. They put their lives on the line and they make many sacrifices for this country.
But still, there is one who made the ultimate sacrifice–Jesus Christ gave His life for us. And why did He do it. He did it for love. Because of His love for us, He placed Himself in harm’s way.
As you remember the vets today, may you also remember that Jesus fights all your battles and has ultimately won the victory. Over two thousand years ago, He put His life on the line just for you. All praises to His name!
