Today is Pentecost Sunday, an important day in the life of the Church. During Pentecost, God’s people received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
So, why do we have the Holy Spirit? Well, Jesus promised before He left the earth that He would ask the Father to send us another advocate to be with us forevermore. And that He did.
I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our comforter, our intercessor, our guide, our counselor, our helper and so much more. The Holy Spirit even prays with us and for us. What a remarkable part of our lives He is!
I have chosen for today the song “Holy Spirit Rain Down” and I pray that you will allow the Holy Spirit to rain down in your life and surround you with His love.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
