A Sunday Song from Sharon (Who Knew There Was a Remix?)

Hey there Sunday Song Fam and Friends,

Hope that you are having a wonderful and blessed Sunday morning. Today’s Sunday Song is a remix of one of my favorite get up and go songs. As my family will tell you, I love 123 Victory by Kirk Franklin, but who knew there was a remix with none other than Pharell.

I selected this song because I posted Acts 2:17-18 (see below) on Facebook yesterday, and then as I went to listen to this song, I noticed it contained part of the Acts 2 passage.  123 song mentions that aIt begins with the words “Good…people people” which I think is significant because far too often we are told we are not worthy, yet we were made worthy through Him, and in fact I think He always believed we were worthy–worthy enough to die for, that is.  The song continues, reminding us to calm down and remember that God is in control, and that we are to get ready for “the new Jericho.”   Yes, and amen!

I also picked this song because of the collaboration between Kirk Franklin and Pharell.  Personally, I believe that we are going to see more such collaborations, and that people will start to appreciate and recognize more than ever the creativity and diversity of our Almighty God as expressed through music, the arts and other forms of entertainment.   Great things are happening, but don’t be afraid of change either for Isaiah 43:19 says “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Enjoy this wonderful day!

“In the Last Days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters; Your young men will see visions, your old men dream dreams. When the time comes, I’ll pour out my Spirit On those who serve me, men and women both, and they’ll prophesy.
