Work/Life Balance: Putting It into Perspective (Written for and Published by The Bottom Line Magazine)
Have you ever heard the expression “ogres are like onions?” It’s from the movie Shrek, and it is fitting to express my sentiment as I begin to pull away the layers of my old self. I know full well that in Christ, I am a new creation, but many times, accepting that fact is more than a notion. Today I was reminded of this article that I wrote several months ago for The Bottom Line Magazine. I have improved in some areas of “not trying to do it all” and yet I still want to get better at delegating, sharing the load with others. I have to recognize that God does not expect that I “do it all” to the point that I am exhausting myself.
