A Sunday Song from Sharon (A Song of Hope)

Hey there Sunday Song Fam and Friends,

Blessed Sunday to you. Still living in the Easter Joy? I bet you are, as always we should be since Jesus lives for ever more. Now that is a blessing!

I am excited to introduce today’s Sunday Song because it ties in so beautifully with what’s going on in my world, in our world, right now. I am preparing to recognize World Hunger Day on May 28th with my HOPE initiative. For those of you who don’t know, HOPE stands for Hunger Outdated Poverty Eliminated and it is a project that was started a few years back and remains always on my heart.

Today’s Sunday Song is called One World, One Song and it is a song written for The Hunger Project, the sponsor of the international World Hunger Day. The lyrics say “One world, free from poverty, One song, to bring equality…” It talks about wanting to see a brighter world, and hoping for the day when our burdens will be lighter. Ending world hunger and poverty does seem like an impossible task, but we know that together we can make a difference, with the help of our God.

Please have a listen to today’s song, and then please thoughtfully consider supporting the HOPE initiative’s t-shirt campaign, which for this iteration (now-March 5th) will raise funds for The Hunger Project.

Have a wonderful day!

KEY BIBLE VERSE
Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,  I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?   And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me
